What does a website cost?
Our pricing structure starts with a standard cost to create seven pages. It includes everything listed in the standard inclusions in all Woodswork hosted websites.
Beyond that, there is the option to add more elements or extra inclusions like a shop. These include adding additional functionality or extra design time to make your site sing for your business. They may also include preparing content for your website, such as writing copy and on-page SEO implementation and backlinking so that your website is Google-friendly.
Website edits after your web project is live
Once your project is live, we will provide training tutorials that you can use to learn how to edit your site.
Our edit pricing structure depends on the Woodswork Web care plan you choose.

Starting a website project
Once you are happy with your inclusion choices, the price is set. Any changes you decide to make to the scope of your project may incur additional costs, but we will always inform you of any extra costs to your wish list and get your approval to carry out the work before doing so.
Our web design options are generally from $2000 to $4000. We’ll need to know more about your project before giving you a firm figure. We have three project options: Premium Custom, Custom and Predesigned. The predesigned options are an affordable, cost-effective starting point when a custom build isn’t required. We also have options for website maintenance care plans for you too.

Daily Website Backups
A cloud backup is taken of your entire website every day.
The backups are stored on a separate server to your website for security and reliability. Backups are a critical element of any website care plan as they provide the ability to quickly restore your website.
Agency Software Licences
When you host with Woodswork we cover the licenses for your theme and your form. If we build your site for you and you host elsewhere you will be responsible for the licence costs.

Add ons to pimp your plan
Vulnerability Monitoring - $20/month
We monitor all software on your website and if a vulnerability is discovered, this will be updated within 24 hours. In some instances an update is not available to address the vulnerability. If the vulnerability is regarded as a significant risk to your website, a virtual patch will be applied to your website to mitigate risk until an update is available.
Uptime Monitoring - $5/month
Your website will be monitored 24/7 for any downtime. If for any reason the website does go offline, we will be notified and can work on getting the site back online.
Security Scanning - $5/month
Your website will have a regular security scan to ensure there is no malware or other security issues.
SMTP Setup $150 + $10/month
We will set up a 3rd party SMTP service to deliver your website transactional emails e.g contact forms. This helps to greatly lessen the risk that your website enquiries will be seen as spam. Up to 500 emails. Higher delivery available.
There is a one-off charge to set up then a monthly charge added to the Self Care Plan.

Our Essential Care Plans is a minimum requirement for e-commerce websites.

Woodswork Web do not inherit sites unless we perform ongoing maintenance and support.
Depending on the condition of the site this cost per month may be higher.
Issues impacting this may be, but are not limited to, website age, theme, number of plugins etc.

FAQs about our plans
What is a WordPress Care Plan?
A WordPress Care Plan includes a range of services to mitigate the risk of your website being compromised and ensure the website is operating properly.
Can I do the WordPress Updates myself?
Yes, you can certainly manage the WordPress updates yourself, however, the updates are not always problem free and can cause errors on your site. As we are dealing with many client websites, we become familiar with likely issues and fixes.
WordPress updates are also only one element of a WordPress Care plan. Other areas include setting up multi-layer security and monitoring for vulnerabilities, security issues etc.
E-commerce websites require a minimum of our Essentials Care Plan and websites that we did not build require an Inherited Care Plan.
Can you guarantee my site won’t be hacked?
Can you guarantee my site won’t be hacked? No, we can’t. While we implement many elements to mitigate the risk of being hacked, there are things that are outside of our control that can impact your website. A WordPress Care Plan is also about ensuring that should the site get compromised, it can quickly be reinstated.
Can I become a Care Plan client if my website was not built by Woodswork Web?
Yes. Even if your website wasn’t built by Woodswork Web, in most cases we’ve got you covered. Our Care Plan Website audit enables our team to thoroughly assess your current website To be added.
Pricing options for website edits
Not only do we edit sites we build and host, we also edit sites we inherit and we even edit sites hosted elsewhere. The costs vary and are outlined below.
We reward Essentials Care Plan clients with lower editing costs. We also provide priority support to these clients and their requests are on the top of our list.

Out of Hours & Urgent Requests
Requests after the hours of 8.30am-5pm Monday to Friday or urgent requests may incur a rush rate. This is generally charged at double the rate of the service required .
Public holiday requests are charged at triple standard rates.
Developer & Graphic rates
Our developer rate for our Essential Care clients is $150/hour +gst
All other developer work is from $180/hour +gst.
Graphic design rates vary and start at $120/hour +gst.
Affordable websites Auckland wide and beyond
At Woodswork Design, we only charge for what you choose to include on your website and nothing you don’t. If you don’t need a gallery, we don’t think you should have to pay for one. This way of working means we can create the affordable websites Auckland customers (and beyond) request.
If we can build websites with many variables, it stands to reason that every client’s price will probably be different. As a result, the cost of your website will depend on the variables, such as the number of pages you require or whether you need a shop to sell your products. To clarify your website requirements, we get together with you and discuss your needs, either in person by phone or via Zoom.
Together, we will work through some questions to help establish your site requirements. We decide on the functionality you think you need, and we may make a few suggestions you may not have imagined. Then, and only then, we can give you an accurate quote.
